The Newark Interfaith for Hope & Peace Presents the City of Newark's First Interfaith Week, Tuesday, June 1st through Sunday, June 6th, 2010
1. Tuesday, June 1, 2010 from 8:00 am to 8:30 pm – A Prayer and Fasting Faith Leaders Retreat with Mayor Cory Booker at the Sheraton Hotel, Frontage Road, Newark
2. Launch Interfaith Positive Message Campaign in the City of Newark and the surrounding communities – Two messages will be displayed on lawn signs, banners, buttons etc. in all communities stating:
a. “Support and Protect Our Children”,
b. “Our Community, Our Responsibility”
3. Thursday, June 3, 2010 from 7:30 to 9:30 am – City of Newark’s 3rd Annual Interfaith Prayer Breakfast at New Jersey Institute of Technology Atrium, 150 Bleeker Street, Newark.
4. Friday, Saturday and Sunday, June 4th, 5th & 6th , 2010 – Interfaith Worship Weekend with Mayor Cory Booker. Faith congregants are encouraged to attend services at a Masjid (Mosque) on Friday (1:00 pm), a Synagogue on Saturday and a Church on Sunday.
